Denver based electronic music trio Hostage Situation has rapidly emerged as a formidable force in the bass music scene since their formation in 2021. With a distinctive brand centered around "taking the crowd hostage" during their high energy performances, they've successfully built a devoted following through their versatile approach to dubstep and riddim, while also exploring more emotionally driven bass music styles. In October 2025, Hostage Situation released their sophomore album Hostile Frequencies, a 20 track opus that represents the culmination of their rapid ascent from local Denver heroes to nationally recognized headliners.
