Denver based electronic music trio Hostage Situation has rapidly emerged as a formidable force in the bass music scene since their formation in 2021. With a distinctive brand centered around "taking the crowd hostage" during their high energy performances, they've successfully built a devoted following through their versatile approach to dubstep and riddim, while also exploring more emotionally driven bass music styles. Their trajectory has been marked by sold out headline shows at iconic venues including The Black Box, Meow Wolf Denver, and The Gothic Theatre. In October 2025, Hostage Situation released their sophomore album Hostile Frequencies, a 20 track opus that represents the culmination of their rapid ascent from local Denver heroes to nationally recognized headliners.
