Underground rap’s own kaiju, Philadelphia based Kill Bill: The Rapper’s deep rasp and hard-hitting, emotional lyrics offer many cathartic moments that are easy to relate to. Known for his knack of taking a dip into romantic nostalgia and collecting the bones of what once was, he’s been a staple in the underground lofi rap scene for over a decade at this point. After charting top 50 on Billboard on his last solo release completely independently, he’s back to destroy the city.

Babe Rainbow From the heart of the Australian psych scene… country-pop rainbow rockers BABE RAINBOW return with studio album #7 Acid and Honey. Recorded on a houseboat in Amsterdam and Zen master Mullarky’s Malibu ranch; exciting dance beat production backs wailing Babe Rainbow vocals on solid skanking hip-hop hard rocking finger funky sounds. From mild to wild Sugary stars BABE RAINBOW reggae grooves reign supreme on the new album Acid and Honey.. features some of the heaviest Babes material to date and should clear up any doubt about Kool Breeze’s ability to hold down the bottom end. Simple and hypnotic, with a great feel Eat, sleep, breathe, live it, 24hrs a day, everyday, let it out, now.. July 16 “Babe Rainbows Acid and Honey” Produced by the band with their collaborator Timon Martin (Benne, Ratbag). The album is 100% self-financed and released independently through the band’s label, Eureka Music/AWAL. The album was recorded at their band shed at home, as well as champion Kyle’s County Line Recording Studio in the Malibu Hills, Marie Louise’s houseboat in Amsterdam, a dairy farm in Blackwell, UK, Aesium Music House, and the home of their good luck charm Sam Joseph. Musically as varied as all those recording locations, but the album comes together distinctly Babe Rainbow. Built from their traditional mix of folk and psychedelic sounds, the new record also taps this time on the shoulders of reggae, electronica, and country.

The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a family concert series hosted at historic music venues across the country, allows kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. This children’s concert is not associated with or endorsed by the artist. See you at the show! This concert for kids and families shares the music of the artist named above with a new generation of music lovers, but is not associated with or endorsed by the artist. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. The Rock and Roll Playhouse knows that little ears are sensitive, so we turn down the volume at our shows. However, all kids experience music differently and you may find that your child is more comfortable wearing hearing protection earmuffs, such as Baby Banz, which are available for purchase here . By attending this event, I consent to my image (with or without my voice) being included in photographs and/or film and videotape of the event, and give the venue, The Rock and Roll Playhouse and their respective licensees and assigns the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use and publish such content in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter developed.

King Woman is the creative project of NYC-based songwriter, producer, and vocalist Kris Esfandiari, whose heavy-laden vocals drive the band’s commanding sound which was founded in 2009. King Woman’s debut album Created in the Image of Suffering (2017) first introduced Esfandiari’s blend of doom and spiritual catharsis where she sings on being raised in a cult-like Charismatic Christian environment marked by exorcisms and home church services. King Woman earned praise from major publications for her raw intensity. Alongside her work with King Woman, Esfandiari has released music under various other monikers, further defining her artistic voice. In her 2021 album Celestial Blues, released on Relapse Records, Esfandiari reframes biblical archetypes through rebellion and renewal, using the memory of a childhood near-death experience to guide a ritual of musical transformation. The record received widespread critical acclaim from outlets including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NPR, and Kerrang, and was featured on several year-end “best of” lauded for balancing extreme heaviness with compelling emotional impact. With its provocative mix of the sacred and the profane, King Woman cements Esfandiari as one of the most singular and fearless voices in modern heavy music

THE REDS, PINKS & PURPLES Listen to the new release “Acknowledge Kindness” https://www.google. com/search?client=safari&rls= en&q=acknowledge+kindness+ fire+records&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 Instagram https://www. instagram.com/the_reds_pinks_ and_purples/ Bandcamp https:// theredspinksandpurples. bandcamp.com/ Prolific singer songwriter and concerned social commentator Glenn Donaldson is the central pivot of The Reds, Pinks and Purples. A band that effortlessly captures the essence of indie rock’s golden era. With a sound that echoes the equally prolific and fellow British-Invasion-disciples Gui ded by Voices, they weave a tapestry of melodies that are both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Imagine the raw, lo-fi charm of GBV meeting the atmospheric melancholy of The Cure, all while channelling the storytelling of The Go-Betweens. SIMON JOYNER https://simonjoyner.bandcamp. com/ https://www.instagram.com/ simonjoynermusic/ https://www.facebook.com/ simonjoynermusic/ Simon Joyner is a renowned American singer-songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska who has released albums on independent labels since the early 1990s. His earliest records were influential signposts of the Lo-Fi and home-taping movement which also produced contemporaries like Smog, Lou Barlow, Will Oldham and the Mountain Goats. He is now widely regarded as one of the great songwriters of our time. Gillian Welch calls him her favorite poet and Kevin Morby and Conor Oberst both claim him as a major influence with Bright Eyes also recording covers of Joyner’s songs “Burn Rubber” and “Double Joe.” Despite often being described as a songwriter’s songwriter, Joyner has soared under the radar for over thirty years. His storytelling has been compared to Leonard Cohen, Townes Van Zandt, Lou Reed, and Bob Dylan. Over the course of 19 albums his career is hard to pin down as he’s followed a mercurial path, never content to make the same record twice. QUOTES: “Omaha has given us the reigning heir to Henry Miller’s dark emotional mirror, Townes Van Zandt’s three-chord moan, and Lou Reed’s warehouse minimalism: his name is Simon Joyner.” — Gillian Welch “Pound for pound Simon Joyner is my favorite lyricist of all time. He has shades of all the greats (Van Zandt, Cohen, Dylan) but exists in a space all his own … He truly is an American songwriting treasure. It is my hope that more people will discover his music and share in the unique joy that it brings.” — Conor Oberst “Simon’s always been a secret handshake amongst me and my peers. He’s a pioneer. He’s helped pave the way for many people, myself included. He’s an artist in its purest form–for his only concern is crafting a perfect song–which he’s done time and time again.” —Kevin Morby “Joyner has been chipping away at the subtle absurdities of life since 1991, his rambling balladeering usually garnering comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Townes Van Zandt. He also shares a wry approach to self-reflection with modern practitioners like Mark Kozalek, Bill Callahan and the late David Berman.” – MOJO
