Minty Boi Presents: Pigeon Pit w/ Propolis Live in Los Angeles @ El Cid July 24th, 2026 6pm / All Ages About: Pigeon Pit is the self described “maximalist journaling” songwriting project of Olympia, WA front-woman Lomes Oleander. With a scrapbook approach to storytelling, Oleander pieces together vignettes of a contemplative struggle for self-acceptance throughout her life: From the anarchic punk scene of surf town Santa Cruz, CA that served as her foundation in the early 2010’s, to chemical escapism in dank basements in Seattle, bouncing throughout queer North American counter-culture by old cars and freight trains, and teaching kindergarten. Artistically reinvigorated by a temporarily debilitating injury in 2020, Oleander began fleshing out her sound with a full band featuring violin and pedal steel guitar on Feather River Canyon Blues, channeling both psychedelic country and DIY pop punk while evoking Gram Parsons, the Weakerthans, and PS Eliot. In songs exploring queerness, grief, attachment, and political struggle for a better world, Pigeon Pit maintains a DIY ethos, playing packed intimate punk house basements and free generator shows while also making an appearance on on NPR’s Tiny Desk and touring with Laura Jane Grace and AJJ. Bird and Byron - rock & soul duo - are based out of Nashville, TN. The duo have gained viral success from their "One Take Tuesday" weekly series reaching millions of viewers; translating into loyal followers worldwide. The raw video posts are of the duo performing clips of original songs or covers in their own styling. Since the inception of the video series, Bird and Byron have garnered attention and reposts from the likes of James Taylor, Willow Smith, Coldplay, Noah Kahan, Mt. Joy, Brittany Broski, and many others.The momentum created by the "One Take Tuesday" series permitted Bird and Byron to record their debut EP at the Bomb ShelterNashville. With the support of esteemed producer Andrija Tokic ‘producer of the Alabama Shakes debut record’ the group created an authentic first project that sealed them as an important part of the new rock and soul genre. Since moving to Music City in his mid-twenties, ZG Smith racked up a formidable cache of musical successes including touring extensively throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, being frontman, primary songwriter, and founding member of Americana duo Smooth Hound Smith, and sharing stages with acts like The Chicks, Trombone Shorty, Collective Soul, and Devon Gilfillian. His poignant and ethereal debut EP, Nighttime Animal, was released in February of 2023 and has garnered airplayand attention from musical curators and press outlets alike. Presented by Sean Healy

Minty Boi Presents: Kyra Machida Live in Los Angeles El Cid 6pm / All Ages About: Born and raised in Japan, Kyra Machida was trained in Korea for vocals andchoreography before moving to LA, where she’s built a following of nearly onemillion fans. Most recently, Kyra performed in Feb 26’ at Catch One alongsideTiffany Day and The Deep for Subculture Party in Los Angeles. Following therelease of her debut EP, Blonde, Kyra performed at Berlin in New York City andco-headlined The Echo in Los Angeles. The project drew media attention fromEARMILK, LISTEN MAG, OUT NOW MAG, and UPROXX, showcasing a bold,genre-bending sound influenced by Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, and AmuroNamie. Her forward-thinking aesthetic has also caught the attention of brands likeConverse, Nike Air Max, and Mercedes Benz, solidifying her presence at theintersection of music, fashion, and culture.
