VLSF Presents! Avian Records Showcase July 14th | Los Angeles | Gold Diggers Ashland, Oregon’s own Avian Recording Company is coming down the coast for a one-night-only label showcase at Gold Diggers on July 14th. A physical manifestation of the label’s genre-agnostic, hook-driven ethos. Presented by VLSF Presents!, expect a night of sharp, compelling sound and raw, narrative-forward performances from four of the collective's most compelling voices. The Lineup: John Juan: Delivering a sun-drenched, idiosyncratic blend of lyricism, folk punk and West Coast groove. BoyCoy: Pushing sonic boundaries with a rhythm-heavy, razor-sharp take on alternative rap that stays stuck in your head for weeks. Brendan O'Hara: A master craftsman of cinematic hooks and soul-stirring, intimate storytelling. A.Roc Beta: Stripping things down with an inventive, melody-forward approach to indie rock and atmospheric folk-pop. Avian Recording Company is an independent label and creative collective based in the mountain valley of Ashland, Oregon. Founded by industry veterans Angel Roché Jr. and Zoë Poledouris, the label prioritizes rich storytelling and killer melodic hooks over sterile commercial formulas, proving that top-tier sonics and genuine human soul belong together. Presented by Gold-Diggers.

Daniel Noah Miller is a Nicaraguan-American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. A founding member of acclaimed alternative duo Lewis Del Mar, who have accrued 350M+streams to date, Miller has been quietly working on his solo debut since 2020. In the interim, he’s been experimenting with different methods of creation, including photography, poetry, and splicing cassette tapes with a razorblade to create looping soundscapes. Starting his songs by writing prose and then chiseling the words into haunting, emotive lyrics, Miller explores hartbreak, disillusionment, and the rapturous process of time passing. Miller is a true sonic storyteller of the fractured reality of our times, a musician unafraid to observe what’s left after private and public apocalypse and make moving art from the ashes. Key Largo-born producer/songwriter Ryan Raines makes music, usually surrounded by a slew of friends and collaborators. His 2024 album Blunt Objects is a catch-all of sincere scores, broken beats, and deadpan rock and roll. His forthcoming project - made in his final month at his former Van Nuys studio - features piano, vibraphone, falsetto, and a heart-shaped hole where the metronome used to be. Presented by Gold-Diggers.

INSTRUMENTS

Mr. Dinkles The Anti Groupies Derek Day- LA-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Derek Day exists in the gap between technical mastery and beautiful madness. He is a fusion of Prince, Freddie Mercury, and David Bowie, with performances so addictive and infused with rock and roll, art-punk, and head-soul that he consistently pushes to the edge of “too much” without tipping over. He has headlined iconic rooms like The Whisky a Go Go and The Viper Room, shared stages with players like Steve Vai, Slash, and Living Colour, and played alongside the Foo Fighters and Mötley Crüe at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert. Whether on tour with Joan Jett and Poison, fronting his side bands Classless Act and THINK:X, or leading his own trio, Derek treats every stage as a portal for "shock and awe." Mr. Dinkles Edging -Chicago based punk-rockers Edging take their sweat-filled circus to Gold Diggers this summer in support of their third LP “UNLOAD YOUR SHAME”, out June 5 via Hex Records + Dick Jail Records. Adam Spry is a San Francisco-based artist and multi-instrumentalist that invokes a unique blend of nostalgic indie pop, folk and alt rock . Garnering comparisons to Emitt Rhodes, Fruit Bats and Coconut Records, Spry’s songs embrace the waves of uncertainty that inevitably crash into us all, while simultaneously providing a reminder that the storm shall pass. Adam James cut his teeth on east coast stages and recording studios writing and performing extensively in folk & punk bands. His dreamy California sound pays homage to his move to LA by way of NY. Adam’s musically intelligent and poetically vulnerable songwriting and nostalgia-inducing reverb-doused melodies reflect his swapping of coasts and intimately shares the emotional journey all this dogged traveling and prolific creating has been. The Pretty Flowers, formed in 2013 in Los Angeles by songwriter Noah Green, crystallized its core lineup of Green (vocals, guitar), Sam Tiger (bass, backing vocals), Jake Gideon (guitar, backing vocals) and Sean Johnson (drums, percussion) in 2018. Their debut album, Why Trains Crash was released in June of that year to rave reviews. In 2023 they released their follow-up LP, A Company Sleeve, solidifying their reputation with critics and fans alike for all-killer/no-filler indie rock. Their third LP, Never Felt Bitter, was released on March 27, 2026. Presented by Gold-Diggers.
