Wunderhorse Wunderhorse have seen their popularity snowball the old-fashioned way; winning fans over through visceral live performances and Jacob Slater’s vivid songwriting. 2024 saw ‘the arrival of a band that could become generational’ (Rolling Stone UK) with the release of their sophomore album, Midas. Recorded at Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio (birthplace of Nirvana’s In Utero & PJ Harvey’s Rid Of Me) with producer Craig Silvey, Midas follows their acclaimed 2022 debut, Cub, and captures the visceral atmosphere of the band’s lauded live performances. They have since played their biggest headline shows to date, won The Group Award at the 2025 Rolling Stone UK Awards, and seen their second album Midas turn silver. Wunderhorse are a band who have quickly become one of British guitar music’s most exciting outfits. Been Stellar Been Stellar

Since forming in Los Angeles in 2008, the band has steadily sidestepped trends, creating a sound rooted not in nostalgia, but in feel—instinctual, atmospheric, and often instrumental in its storytelling, even when words are not present. Their records suggest a band uninterested in spectacle, focused instead on tone, pacing, and space. Their last release, Countryman ’82 b/w Dume Room, strips things down even further: two instrumental demos, raw but complete in their intent. “Countryman ’82” rides a pulsing rhythm and circular guitar line that never quite resolves, while “Dume Room” suggests a different kind of tension—slower, hazier, more deliberate. Over the past decade and a half, Allah-Las have released five studio albums, toured across continents, and built an audience that doesn’t need to be told what genre this is. Their sound is built on interplay. They’ve always written songs that work just as well from the back of a room as they do up close. If there’s a larger point to what they do, it might be this: not everything needs to shout to be heard. The new demos also point toward what’s ahead. The band has been expanding its palette in the studio—introducing new instrumentation and pushing further into open-ended arrangements. If “Countryman ’82” and “Dume Room” are any indication, a full instrumental record later this year may find Allah-Las exploring new textures and stretching their sound in unexpected directions. The first iteration of the band formed in 2007, consisting of Ian Hultquist, Ayad Al Adhamy, Jeff Apruzzese, and Nate Donmoyer. They played small sold-out shows around Boston, and were named Best New Band by the Boston Phoenix. Passion Pit’s debut EP, ‘Chunk of Change’ , was self-released in 2008. The EP’s sole single, ‘Sleepyhead’ , written by Angelakos in under 2 hours, became an iconic track of the aughts and has been certified 2x Platinum. The song was later featured on Passion Pit’s first full-length studio album, 'Manners' , released in May of 2009. Following the release of ‘Manners’ , Passion Pit became a festival staple and a fan-favorite live act. Passion Pit’s 2nd full-length album, ‘Gossamer’ , was released in July of 2012. The album received much critical acclaim, reaching #4 on the US Billboard charts. The album’s lead single, ‘Take a Walk’ , has been certified 2x Platinum in the US. As Rolling Stone wrote in naming ‘Take A Walk’ the 3rd best song of 2012: “ …you are reminded why pop songs exist: to help mute the pain. ” Three years later, Passion Pit released ‘Kindred’ , peaking at #2 on the US Alternative Chart. In 2017, to raise awareness for scientific research for mental health treatment, Angelakos self-released ‘Tremendous Sea of Love’ , on YouTube. The album received strong reviews from critics and fans, particularly for its masterful use of synths. Early in his career, Angelakos became a pioneer in the music industry for being an outspoken advocate for mental health, speaking publicly about his own experience living with bipolar disorder and how the industry could support artists better. Currently Passion Pit is led by Angelakos with Giuliano Pizzulo, Eric Scullin, Denzel Cox, and Ben Barter. Arden Jones Arden Jones

After 20 years of silence as a band, this California-based power trio – guitarist and lead singer Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse, and bassist Keanu Reeves – surprised many and perhaps even themselves when they returned in fine form in 2023. Only a few years later, Dogstar is returning with its 4 th studio album full of strong new songs that leave no doubt they’re back for good with a powerful sound that is bigger and better than ever before. “Our last album was our ticket into a party,” says Bret Domrose. “And now we’ve shown up to the party.” Dogstar is a group of three friends who have slowly yet surely become a band of brothers who are excited to get back on the road this summer, including a 25-date “All In Now” North American Tour. As Reeves says, “For me, the attitude was like, ‘Let's work hard and let’s GO.’” All In Now is the most vivid reflection of the passion and chemistry that has been driving Dogstar’s heartfelt rock & roll dreams from the start. For Mailhouse, “The whole album may not hit quite as hard as the title track, but it really sets up the energy at the heart of this album.” Dogstar credits producer Nick Launay – whose long track record includes everyone from Midnight Oil to Nick Cave to Amyl and the Sniffers – with bringing a new sense of energy to All In Now . On record and onstage, prepare to have Dogstar turn your head around in a new way with All In Now . The Backfires The Backfires

Congress the Band Congress The Band is one of the Southeast’s most exciting emerging rock acts bring a new wave of rock music out of the Carolinas.
