The Minnesota-raised, Nashville-based songwriter has always felt like she was searching for herself, trying on various versions but never really feeling the euphoric ease that comes with finding comfort in one’s own skin.Through experimentation in spirituality and empowerment, devoting time and energy into her craft and learning to lean into a playful, carefree outlook, Wedl is experiencing the delicious life moments with a renewed clarity. On her self-titled album––and debut for ANTI––she shakes off the prying eyes of expectation, leaving behind the anxiety of forming yourself for others and welcoming in the delight of finally being exactly who you are. Wedl is already a prolific artist, releasing solo music since 2012, and co-founding the queercore outfit Dazey & The Scouts in 2015. The band, she says, taught her about “complete vulnerability and collaboration,” and their surprise viral success on social media fuelled the next stepping stone in Wedl’s career.“It’s shown me the humanity that live music can create,” she says of the unexpected attention on the band.“It’s taught me so much about songwriting as collective care.”After a string of solo singles in 2024, Wedl’s latest LP gathers those foundation-cracking moments that make up a life, and sees her fully immersed in the lessons they create. SUB*T Every musician starts off as a fan. Enthusiasm, fixation, denying all self-consciousness in pursuit of your own thrills…these are the values that propel ordinary people deep into fandom. For Grace Bennett and Jade Alcantara, that fervor also propelled their virtual 2010’s Twitter friendship into a band called Sub*T. What started as a cross-country online bond over stan culture—Bennett fighting for the honor of One Direction, Alcantara waving the banner of The 1975—led first to an Instagram follow, then to the mosh pit (where they met IRL several times a year), and eventually to a life-changing decision. In 2019 and with zero prior musical experience, they each bought guitars and taught themselves how to play, and Sub*T was born. While now a fully New York-based band, their sound is better defined by this origin story. Since meeting, Bennett and Alcantara have allowed themselves to be guided not by the pull of their surroundings and the pressure to be at the cutting edge, but by the force that first united them as teenagers on the internet: fandom. And on their debut LP How My Own Voice Sounds, they come into their own, riding the wave of their love for classic alt-rock, grunge, and indie rock and arriving at a place that’s decidedly their own.

Doors: 6:00 PM Show: 8:00 PM Wesley Joseph The Forever Tour 2026 Unguarded, wholly realised and entirely his own – Wesley Joseph’s long-awaited debut album sees the singer, songwriter, producer and director at his most confidently vulnerable, expressing the many layers of his creative life journey. “I looked in the mirror more than I ever have with this record,” he says. “It unexpectedly became a coming of age album. I was reaching from different periods in my life and into the present – some songs were cinematic snapshots, others sobering realities or romanticised memories. Dreaming has always been a raincoat from reality and making the record allowed things to be processed in the real world” Resolutely genreless, it is Joseph’s singular voice and vision that unifies these tracks, cracking from raw rap self-expression to singing with soulful, understated, conviction. “This record is a product of my musical DNA,” he says. “It feels original because it’s not trying to fit in one space – it’s all my influences at once. I grew up with soul music and r&b being played around the house, I’ve never not had rap music around me, and as I got older I spent a lot of time in my headphones getting lost on the internet – which led to a love of everything from electronic music to psychedelic records.” Moving to London to study filmmaking, Joseph began developing his instinctive visual sensibility. He has consequently directed all of his music videos to date, being hands on from initial storyboarding to editing and colour grading – creating a cinematic, luscious perspective reflected in the award-winning visuals for singles like “Thrilla” and “Monsoon” “I didn’t always have the resources I needed so I had to learn things for myself. I was always punching above my weight, and always self-sufficient – because I simply care too much about what I make” he says. “Beneath the polished nature of what I’m releasing is someone who is trying to make the best work I can while I’m here.” On “Peace of Mind” for instance, Joseph spits venomously over a rumbling sub bass and earworming hook, channeling a younger version of himself who was in a darker place in his life and contrasting that perspective with the confidence of now: “Recording the tears I never shed,” he raps. “Seasick” alternatively sees Joseph tap into a psychedelic-punk, indie-soul sensibility, recounting the turbulence of a relationship and how going through the storm is still worth it if you love someone. “Pluto Baby” plays through woozy synths and reverberating guitars, mixing driving instrumentals with sobering lyrics and “July” strikes a soulful, expansive note as old friends Jorja Smith and Joseph rejoice and reflect on the journey they have made.

Formed in late 2019 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Sam Huge and keyboardist/producer Gaelle Souflet, the duo quickly carved their own space between heritage and modernity, between the shadows of Belgium’s electronic legacy and the urgent lightof the present moment.
