When Chris Stewart set out to write and record his third album as Black Marble, he was newly living in Los Angeles, fresh off a move from New York. The environment brought much excitement and possibility, but the distance had proved too much for the car he brought along. With it out of commission indefinitely, he purchased a bus pass and planned his daily commute from his Echo Park apartment to his downtown studio, where he began to shape Bigger Than Life. The route wound all through the city, from the small local shops of Echo Park to the rising glass of the business district, to the desperation of Skid Row. The hurried energy of the environment provided a backdrop for the daily trip. When Stewart finally arrived at his studio, he’d look through his window at the mountains and the sky, seeing the beauty that makes L.A. unique — the same beauty his fellow commuters, some pushed to the edge of human endurance, had seen. That was the headspace he was in when he began to map out the syncopated drums and staccato arpeggiation of Bigger Than Life, an ode to his new condition and a shimmering synth-pop response to its cacophony.

Borrowing elements of pop, rock, jazz, reggae, and soul, the Bogmen were formed in 1993 by Bill Campion (vocals/guitar), Bill Ryan (guitar), Brendan Ryan (keyboards), Mark Wike (bass), P.J. O'Connor (percussion), and Clive Tucker (drums). After two years of hopping the Northeast club circuit, the band was signed by Arista in spring of 1995. Their debut album appeared by autumn of the same year, followed in early 1998 by Closed Captioned Radio.

Melanie Chisholm’s instantly recognisable, powerful soul voice set her apart from most of her peers from the moment she first stepped up to the microphone. After conquering the world with the Spice Girls, Melanie has enjoyed a huge international solo career with a string of hit albums and perfect pop singles including I Turn To You, Never Be The Same Again and When You’re Gone. Incredibly, Melanie’s career now stretches back almost two decades, and although nobody could ever forget her Spice roots, she has gone on to collaborate with everyone from Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes to Bryan Adams, blurring the boundaries between pop, rock and R&B.

That’s not due to any fault of his productions, but rather, purely due to his versatility. Once a mainstay on the legendary Anjunabeats and a rising star of new age trance shepherded by Above & Beyond and co, Jason quickly outgrew the boundaries of four to the floor grooves, expanding into the less finite space of broken beats and pop vocals of melodic bass. A blossoming working relationship with melodic bass propagator Seven Lions led to genre defining tracks like Higher Love and Ocean, backed up by beautiful, elongated and gently weaving trance discography featuring the likes of Cairo, Atlas, and his 2019 Anjunabeats EP Rooms . The ability to weave the emotion and hypnosis of trance into the more commercial grit of melodic bass has made Jason’s recent catalog uniquely his own. His unique multi-genre tinged approach to production shines on genre-defining tracks like Shelter, his Blanke collab One More Day, his solo single Wild Ones, and his Gryffin collab After You, among others. His sub brand - Atlas - is a moniker that defines who Jason is as an artist: worldly and all inclusive. Shying away from needing to stick to certain sounds or expectations, and instead choosing to meld genres and fan bases, Atlas aims to capture the range of Jason Ross by emblazing the concept on everything from merch to his digital fan groups, to his forthcoming 2022 full length artist album, out in August 2022 on Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records (and a follow up to his 2022 inaugural artist album, 1000 Faces). POiSON GiRL FRiEND, is a musical solo unit by nOrikO who is a singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and DJ based mainly in Japan. She was born in Tokyo, raised in Brazil where she was educated in a French-language school, and spent some time in London. Musical influences through those experiences over the years- classical music, Brazilian dance music, French chanson and pop music, British New Wave, club and electronic music from the early 1990s- contribute to the distinct sound of POiSON GiRL FRiEND, characterized by its integration of various genres and global sounds.
