JustJOY Chicago-based indie pop rock phenomenon justJOY is in the process of releasing her debut album this summer, with its lead track "27 Club" currently taking the world by storm. Having played extensively throughout Chicago over the last year, her unique blend of indie pop with a rock edge feels both nostalgic and futuristic. With Tony Hish on drums, Nathan Cowan on lead guitar and Sam Stein on synth bass, justJOY's "glittery pop music that anyone can cry to" continues to leave bodies grooving and feelings rising. with: ktwheels , best described as a crunchy yet warm singer-songwriter navigating the indie rock space, is a new scene-setter currently based in frigid Chicago, Illinois. Originally from the Central Coast of California, ktwheels draws heavy inspiration from powerhouse female songwriters of the ‘90s, 2000s, and early 2010s, such as Madison Cunningham, Soccer Mommy, Courtney Barnett, Snail Mail, Dora Jar, and Fiona Apple. Driven by cool, syncopated riffs, she hopes to keep listeners on their toes while embracing them with the bittersweet sound of a Rust Belt palette.
