The band, which is based in Richmond, creates a unique blend of synthesized sounds, samples, off-kilter grooves, and expansive, jazz-influenced harmonies. Pateka’s sound has been compared to a variety of artists, including Palm, Badbadnotgood, Sweet Trip, Mid Air Thief, Jon Bap, Sun Ra, Pulgas, Os Mutantes and Standing on the Corner. DIBIA$E — Hailing from LA's very own Watts, Dibia$e a.k.a Diabolic's productions run the gambit from 8 bit video game classics to seductive soul to raw grungy bangers – this guy has no limitations; no sample is safe. Dibi's signature sound has been recognized and sought out by some of Hip Hop and Electronic music’s most influential: Blu, Guilty Simpson, Elzhi [Slum Village], Abstract Rude, Battle Cat, DJ Premier, Flying Lotus, and Geoff Barrow [Portishead]. — SMARTBOMB: SMARTBOMB is an Oakland, CA based curatorial project + multimedia & live events platform focused towards shining light on the flourishing creative community of the bay area and beyond .
