CIDERUP SHOWS XXVI presents Hunting Lions + Clencher + SF Rejects ciderup shows xxvi presents — FRIDAY OCT 16TH — THE STITCHES HUNTING LIONS CLENCHER SJ REJECTS — 8pm doors / 8:30pm show ADV TIX AVAILABLE IVY ROOM | 21+ — THE STITCHES — The Stitches are a 1970s-style punk rock band formed in 1994 in Orange County. They record on independent labels such as Disaster, Gold Standard Laboratories, Vinyl Dog, Suburbia, TKO, and Kapow. The group's debut 7" "Sixteen" came out in '94 and is one of the greatest punk singles ever released. It was as if the Sex Pistols, Pagans, Dead Boys, and countless Killed By Death favorites had coalesced into one wild and explosive band. The energy, power, and guts just bled out of your turntable speakers! In a single moment, Michael Lohrman and Johnny Witmer emerged as a vocal/guitar tandem of legendary proportion. "Sixteen" arrived at a time when nothing that sounded quite like it had been heard in years, and it inspired the growth of "snotty punk rock" as a genre onto itself in the later '90s and beyond. HUNTING LIONS — Hunting Lions is a culmination of rock veterans. Including past and present members of The Swingin' Utters, The Beltones, Roadside Bombs, Hometown Addiction, Resilience, The Burdens, and more. Formed at the beginning of the pandemic, we have one purpose: to play boot-stomping Rock n Roll! CLENCHER — members of the grannies SF REJECTS — When 4 lifetimes of music collide, an explosion is inevitable. Meet The SF Rejects, a new band bursting onto The San Francisco Music scene. ivy room presents OKTOBERFEST - Every guest in traditional attire receives a free beer! + DRINK SPECIALS ivy room presents SATURDAY OCTOBER 17TH — ArnoCorps The Teutonics The Gum Tree Girls — Doors 7:00pm / Show 7:30pm Advance Tickets Available — IVY ROOM 860 San Pablo Ave, Albany • 21+ — ARNOCORPS Action Adventure Hardcore Rock and Roll — Well-steeped in the heroic tales of their Austrian alpine forebearers, ArnoCorps channel ancient myths such as “Predator,” “Commando,” “Terminator” and “Total Recall” through a sonic onslaught known as action-adventure hardcore rock ‘n’ roll. While many in the press have foolishly mistaken the Austro-Californian visionaries as an Arnold Schwarzenegger tribute band, ArnoCorps actually seek to expose the shameless exploitation of their ballsy folklore at the hands of the Hollywood hype machine. Through ArnoCorps, the world can finally hear these cherished legends in the way they were meant to be told, empowering listeners to unlock their own potential to become “goddamn heroes.” Although known for hurling volunteer audience members record distances and crowdsurfing on top of their guitar cases in displays of superhuman athleticism, there is no need to fear ArnoCorps‘ explosive performances; they are a rescue team, not assassins. The spectacle extends beyond the stage as attendees of ArnoCorps’ fabled live audio assaults are frequently adorned in camouflage face paint and uniforms that rival the adventure-ready appearance of the band themselves. A welcoming and inclusive atmosphere greets newcomers amidst a frenzy of bonding and unity under the ArnoCorps banner of ballsy defiance. Experiencing “the pump” is inevitable through crowd participation, including on-stage calisthenics challenges and impromptu, any-gender, any-weight, bodybuilding posedown competitions. While based in the San Frantastic Bay Area since the year 2000 and signed to Jello Biafra’s legendary Alternative Tentacles Records since 2013, ArnoCorps’ battle against cinematic Austroploitation is an international mission. The band have conducted headline tours of the UK and Ireland in 2006, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019, while extending their reach to mainland Europe in 2015. ArnoCorps have consistently garnered critical acclaim, including a perfect 10 out of 10 rating from the BBC, described as “enough to leave Manowar sweating through their loincloths” by Kerrang! Magazine, and praised as “the most fun live show you could imagine” by Metal Hammer. THE TEUTONICS reggae/rocksteady — Tectonics is a San Francisco-based 6-piece shaking up the Bay with soulful rocksteady and early reggae. Their sound blends vintage covers with original tunes that pay homage to the golden era of Studio One and Treasure Isle. With a lineup of two guitars, organ, bass, drums, and a dynamic male vocalist, Tectonics delivers authentic rhythms with California flair. Featuring members of The Uptones, Rancid, Titan Ups, The Cover-Ups, and The Ballantynes, they bring decades of experience and a deep love for the roots of Jamaican music. THE GUM TREE GIRLS garage punk post-punk — The GTGs take their eponymous name from a 1960's grassroots women's organization that fought to save their beloved Glen Canyon from a freeway project. The band's brash and satirical take on feminism and ecology mixes with a punk & post-punk garage rock sound that threatens to shake City Hall once again. The GTGs are Allison Aspen, Helene Hawthorn, Suzi Spruce, Stacey Sequoia, Tammy Timber Important Information for Ticket Holders Entry Policy: This is a 21+ event . A valid ID is required for entry.
