Cherise Michelle is a contemporary R&B artist whose music lives between memory, the soul, and its potential. Born in Gary, Indiana and now based in Los Angeles, California, she creates songs that dwell in the intimate moments of life. Her musical love began early, shaped by the voices of Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, and Mariah Carey. As a kid, she narrated her days through constant devotion to her diaries, and she hasn’t stopped since. Cherise has archived the mundane for most of her life, paying close attention to the tiny moments that often go unnoticed. That’s exactly where her songs come from. Each track feels like a room to walk into – textured harmonies, jazz-touched chords, and lyrics that hold memory without rehearsing nostalgia. Fluently weaving together low, velvety tones and playful explorations of her upper register, Cherise brings a rich versatility to every performance.
