CITY POP!! Returns to Holocene! Come dance away the dark with Holocene’s own Japanese Boogie, J-jazz & New Wave Dance Party — November 12th! Featuring a very special guest appearance by legendary City Pop singer Reiko Takahashi! Reiko Takahashi (高橋玲子) joins us on stage for a special live set, including her cult City Pop classic “Sunset Road” (サンセット・ロード) — a record that’s become as coveted by collectors as it is beloved by City Pop fans. Reiko will also be meeting fans and signing merch after the performance, making this a rare chance to see and meet her right here in Portland. Your resident all-vinyl City Pop evangelists return: SEASIDE.FM ( twitch.tv/seasidefm ) & Joe Ball ( Long Distance Call on XRAY.FM 91.1 & 107.1) Bringing pristine bops, sparkling gems, and City Pop magma that will change your entire life and reduce your cortisol levels. Reach for new heights of musical longing & dance bliss! Dance to deep cuts, classics & unexpected gems from Anri, WINK, Toshinobu Kubota, Tomoko Aran, Toshiki Kadomatsu, Junko Ohashi, Yuji Toriyama, Miki Matsubara, Tatsuro Yamashita, Masayoshi Takanaka & far beyond — pulled straight from their collections of original Japanese vinyl. Dress to impress or dress down– just don’t skip this dancefloor. This will sell out, so save the date and RSVP NOW! Follow us on IG for updates! @citypopsongs @rayko_official @long_distance_call_
